About Us

String Virtuoso was founded in 2020 with a view to connecting the best performers and teachers with the next generation of double bass players, all for a price that is accessible to as many people as possible.

Our approach is repertoire-led, just like many teachers. We have a huge number of pieces in each category of difficulty (beginner, intermediate, advanced, and virtuoso), and for each piece you'll find a range of content. These include lessons from professionals, recorded performances, piano accompaniment tracks that you can play along to, and sheet music with annotations from our artists. We also have a number of technique-specific courses focusing on aspects of playing.
